80 Charlotte Street

Derwent London , Make Architects and Multiplex replaced the 1960s Fitzrovia city block that was home to the Saatchi & Saatchi headquarters with a commercial-led project comprising state-of-the-art speculative offices.

The new-build scheme is a steel frame construction with expressed downstand beams and bespoke pre-cast 1.5m-wide concrete planks with exposed, meticulously set-out M&E services, in line with the industrial aesthetic espoused by Derwent London and sought after in Fitzrovia.

80 Charlotte Street is faithful to the Derwent brand in that it draws its inspiration from Mies Van Der Rohe and Pierre Chareau, Donald Judd and Harry Bertoia.

Fakhry was the lead for the interior design packages, as well as the lead for the project structure and MEP services coordination (which were integral to the interior aesthetics).
